This explains how ReUse BLUE (Damien Randell, ABN 41 769 235 971) handles the information you give us through this website and WhatsApp.
What we collect
- Getting started: your name, email, postcode, what you'd like help with, and optionally roughly how many old films you have.
- Image uploads: your email and the images or reports you upload. These are health information, which the law treats as sensitive. We only collect them with your express consent.
- Lecture registration: your name, email, optional mobile, and whether you'd like to share your lived experience.
- Research Digest: your name and email.
- Work with us: your name, email, postcode, and optionally your mobile, organisation, interests and a short message.
- Old films: your name, email, postcode, roughly how many films, and what you'd like.
- Digitising (on request): if you ask us to digitise your films, the films themselves and the digital copies we make. These are health information. We only digitise with your express consent, send the copies to you only, and delete ours once you've confirmed you have yours.
Why we collect it
To recommend a next step (research, local providers and people with similar pathologies), to send the Research Digest you asked for, to manage lecture registrations, to arrange film returns, to digitise films when you ask us to, and to reply to people who want to work with us. Without these details we can't do those things.
Who sees it
Our team only. We never share your information with a provider unless you agree to that specific referral. We don't sell or share it with anyone else.
Where it's stored
Form entries and uploaded files are stored by our website host, Netlify, Inc., which may store data outside Australia, including in the United States. WhatsApp messages are handled by WhatsApp (Meta) under its own terms.
How long we keep it
Until you withdraw consent or ask us to delete it, or 24 months after our last contact, whichever comes first. Uploaded images are deleted from the website host once we've moved them to our secure records, or sooner if you ask.

You can withdraw consent, or ask to see, correct or delete your information, at any time: email hello@reuseblue.com.au or message +61 466 222 948. If you're not happy with how we've handled your information, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

We don't do scans, diagnose or give individual medical advice, and nothing here is a substitute for your GP or treating practitioner. Individual results vary.
